Convergence
Fort Kochi , 2025-11-08Curatorial Note – Convergence
Draavidia Gallery, Calvathy, Fort Kochi
Convergence brings together five distinct artistic voices Akhil Mohan, Dhanya M.C, Prakasan K.S, Sajith Puthukkalavattom, and Shinoj Choran whose practices intersect at the fragile yet powerful spaces between memory, ecology, and human experience. Each artist approaches the world through a deeply personal lens, yet their works resonate collectively, like individual notes forming a single harmonious chord.
The exhibition takes inspiration from the metaphor of a wing a reminder of transformation, fragility, and the interconnected rhythms of life. Through paintings, drawings, and mixed-media expressions, the artists navigate themes of belonging, the evolving landscape, and the quiet narratives that shape contemporary Kerala. The works do not seek to dominate the viewer; instead, they invite you to pause, observe, and step into the subtle layers of thought embedded within each piece.
Convergence celebrates not just the coming together of artists, but the merging of ideas, emotions, and perspectives. In this shared space, the differences between the artists become the very thread that binds the exhibition creating a dialogue that is reflective, insightful, and profoundly human.
The show is inaugurated in the presence of Sri. Sudheesh Kottembram (Poet & Art Critic), marking a meaningful intersection between visual and literary sensibilities.
