PRAKASAN

00 , KERALA

Prakasan K. S is a distinguished Kochi-based artist whose practice spans a wide range of mediums, including pen and ink, watercolour, pastel, and terracotta. His works are deeply rooted in the cultural, agricultural, and geographical landscapes of Kerala, drawing from local mythology, rituals, and lived experiences. Through a refined visual language, he bridges the past and the present, transforming ancestral narratives into contemporary artistic expressions.

His artistic style is defined by the skilful interplay of line and colour, often revealing hidden truths and subtle layers of meaning. Prakasan’s compositions explore themes of heritage, memory, and the shifting rhythms of rural life, inviting viewers into a contemplative dialogue.

He has been recognised with multiple honours, including the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi State Award for Drawing (2006, 2023). His journey also includes significant explorations in terracotta sculpture, adding a tactile dimension to his creative practice.
