WILFRED K P

Born  in Alappuzha, Kerala, India.

A resident of Alappuzha in Kerala, Wilfred after completing his commerce graduation from S D College, University of Kerala, and five year National Diploma in Painting from Raja Ravi Varma Institute of Fine Arts, Mavelikkara, Kerala moved on to Kalabhavan, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan for procuring Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts (Painting).

He worked as a guest lecturer in the departments of painting in Raja Ravi Varma Institute of Fine Arts, Mavelikkara, Kerala and the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, Ernakulam, Kerala.

Wilfred has participated in several groups shows in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ernakulam,  Kottayam, and Lokame Thararvadu in Alappuzha,  and had four solo shows, three in Durbar Hall Art Centre, Ernakulam and one in David Hall in Fort Kochi, Kerala.

Participated in State and National Camps conducted by Kerala Lalithakala Akademi and some private Institutions in Kerala.

Illustrated a few children's storybooks for the Kerala State Institute of Children's Literature.

The awards won are AIFACS Millennium Painting Award-2001 and AIFACS Award State Exhibition-Kerala-2002.

Now lives in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, INDIA.
